Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

On Wednesday, November 30, 2005 and Wednesday, December 14, 2005, the BKW School District will be dismissing all students from the Berne "campus" at 11:45 a.m. Students who are transported to out of District programs and private/parochial school students will remain on their regular schedule. The Board of Education approved this change in the school calendar to allow for teachers and support staff to receive required training in the administration and scoring of the new grades 3-8 New York State English and mathematics tests.

This notification is provided so that you have sufficient notification for making any necessary child care/family plans on those two days. We regret any inconvenience that these changes may cause, but the new training requirements are necessitating such actions in school districts statewide.
